The last time Iowa scored 40 plus in 4 home games in a row was was in the 1913-1914 seasons. They beat Indiana 60-0, Iowa State 45-7, Northern Iowa 95-0, and Cornell 49-0. They did that under Jess Howley, and his innovative offense. They lined up their 2 guards 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage, with 2 halfbacks and a fullback 3 yards behind those guards. It allowed for a great deal of motion plays and laterals. Fullback Ralph McGinnis and quarterback Sam Gross were leaders on the field. Gross scored 14 touchdowns in 1913, and McGinnis scored 5 in 1 game against Northwestern!
Once Iowa scores 40 in this game they will have scored more that 40 in 5 strait home games. That has only been done in 1905! Let's do this! Break these long standing records!
