I'll admit, I kind of threw up in my mouth a little. Rooting for that team to be successful at anything is just not in my DNA. You only have to have come across one of "those" Nebraska fans to understand where I am coming from. You know, the guy who is still partying like it's 1997. It creates this indelible mark that lasts forever.

I actually support the concept of less abrasive coaching styles, but, history has shown that it depends upon the player's personality.

Some players respond positively to a softer, more encouraging style, while others respond better to a verbal butt-kicking. The greatest player's coaches are the ones that excel at figuring out which player responds to which, and adjusting accordingly.

once again, I wish to reiterate and not to repeat myself that this is repetitive and redundant.

This
Is it t exactly.

Give me a team that doesnt need butt chewing or hugs. Smart enough to figure it out on the field with guidence. One that can get up for the game without a pep rally. One that can soon look at film and tell me what they can do better.

If they’d have kept Solich instead of playing musical coaches they’d be right where Osborne was.

I love it.

They'd have been better than they've been the last 10 years. Pelini never won less than 9 games, but got blown out in the big games. But here's the thing, Osborne was getting old, yes, but he also new what was going to happen when scholly limit came into play and they weren't going to have 100 walk ins from Ne. And every surrounding state. Osborne was smart and I can't prove it, but I think he knew...

Can you imagine the meltdown in Lincoln if they only win 4 or 5 games? Whew!

I would love it. Frosty jesus will get a lot of rope, but souls will be crushed if they aren't, at least, back to 9+ wins annually within 3 years. Anything less than 9 every year by year four, returning hero will have the deluded masses will turn on him, maybe sooner, despite what they claim.

If he doesn't make 9 wins in his first three years it’d be the final nail in the coffin for the Nebraska football program. They’ve suffered the greatest fall in college sports other than one from a scandal, and the humiliation would be too much to accept if Frost fails. Frost is their pathetic, last ditch Hail Mary after firing a very good coach, a loser, another successful coach, and another complete loser.

If Frost fails to bring it back (which he will) then Nebraska fans will be forced to eat their shit sandwich and will revert to reminiscence instead of hope and delusion.

And I will fucking LOVE it when it happens.
