Schwartz: Ten Sentences On The Bye Week

2. The most perplexing moment of the season remains the Wisconsin kickoff that ended with the football touching Shaun Beyer and the Badgers recovering, but as I’ve gone back to watch that play a few times over the last week, the most startling thing is how Iowa’s special teams looked like 11 players milling about as a confused mass rather than a cohesive unit.

Tough to gain credibility when either 1) you didn't really know this was a punt, not a kickoff, or 2) more likely, you didn't take the time to edit your own work.

Yep probably it. Its been edited since but in his original article posted yesterday it also mentioned a possible loss at Maryland. While I agree that the Maryland game is going to be tough to win. The game is in Kinnick.

Damn you Drummer. I also like to call out the most off target thought. Beyer messing up the kickoff was a real turning point in the game.

I also was going to differ regarding #8. I just don't think we lose to Maryland at home. You have to stop their running game and force their QB's to beat you with their arms...not their legs. Iowa has shown the discipline to do this. It's exactly what Temple did and they handled Maryland easily. I'm still on the fence with how good Indiana is...they did nothing against MSU and didn't exactly manhandle a terrible Rutgers team. I think we will know more about Iowa this week...if they handle the road against Minnesota and play well. I think Indiana is a win too.
