-------Although the Hawkeyes ultimate goal should always be a championship, what they have accomplished this season is significant and deserves praise.

Praise??? Hey David.....can you please be more clear on exactly what "type" of Championship you are referring to??? We have AD's that are of the opinion that we should be satisfied with "Bowl" Championships...you seem to have conveniently been vague in your request of us rank amateurs.

So Penn St. season is a failure, they didn't make the playoffs.....OSU season is a failure, they didn't win the B1G.....Michigan's and Wisconsin's seasons are complete flops, Nebraska's season was a failure, and of course Iowa might as well not have even played football this year......

Did I sum up your position correctly Playa

I literally think you're the only one that saw it that way. But hey, you're the dude that thinks 7 wins is the top of the heap. Did I get that right playa?

Vogs - All those teams you referenced beat teams they were supposed to beat....we got beat by NDS and throttled by N'Western...or did that "satisfy" you?

Oh I didn't know Penn St was favored over OSU or that Iowa was favored over Michigan (how badly would u have freaked out if KF lost a game to a 22 point underdog and that kept Iowa out of the B1G championship game and possible playoffs)???

Penn st. Losing to in state little brother rival kept them from the playoffs as well......not a biggie tho, right????

They have to "seal the deal " with a bowl win. Even with a bowl win I feel like it is more of salvaging the season as opposed to a successful season.

I quit following this guy on twitter because he is such an apologist for Ferentz and the others.

I agree about the bowl win. Right now the season has been pretty blah. It needs something like a January win against Florida to get to acceptable.

The bowl and signing day are still ahead of us so I'll . . .

I'm disappointed that Iowa didn't make it to the BT Championship game, but I am happy in the way they finished the season, and I will similarly be happy if they win the bowl game. I'm not an apologist and I'm not a hater; I'm a fan of the Hawkeyes, always have been and always will be.

Vogs - I was talking more on the whole with Ferments....especially given his passion for getting beat when they are a double digit favorite. My issue is with Schwartz telling us how "satisfied" we should be when we lose 4 games with a mickey mouse schedule and almost everyone returning.

You know who you sound like, Haymaker? Lou Holtzcshchch back in 2009 around week 8. "How can Iowa be ranked shhhlllo high? They almoschschshc losshhtt to Nor-zhhern Eye-wuh on 2 blocked--that'shsh 2 blocked--field goalzzhh!"

It gets old. NDSU and NW were both two months ago.

Before the season started, our schedule looked even easier than last year....with all hard games at home.Wisconsin and Penn St, should have been wins...period.

Playing 3 top 10 teams and a top 25 team is a mickey mouse schedule?

True. However with the exception of the Penn.St. game all your difficult games were at home and the schedule was backloaded. As far as the schedule is concerned it will never set up any better than it did this year.

Doesn't matter what your dumb ass thought Penn St and Wisconsin would be. Turns out they are top 10 teams, but you probably think those two game would have been easier than Playing ND and MSU, because, well you "thought" they would be tougher before the season.

Except for some reason we have no home field advantage anyway.
