James had a big game last nigh against Waukee. 13 receptions 193 yards 1 TD. The QB had a spectacular games as well. Junior QB Alex Imming rushed for 191 yards, and passed for 245, with 6 TD's. Is Waukee this bad, or is SC East's offense this good?

Waukee got smoked by Ankeny in the prior week, but Ankeny is a top 5 team. It will be interesting to see how Imming progresses since he is a Junior and this is his first year as a starter. I think James needs to pack on some weight. Scout's has him as a 2 star.

imming isn't a true passer yet. really benefited last week with heelen's small corners and was able to just throw it up there and james came down with it most of the time. he's a great athlete though and hopefully will continue to progress.

They Ankeny WR some outstanding stats like 280 yards receiving.

Too bad since I live in Waukee but I think they are pretty bad this year.

Waukee has experienced a population boom over the last decade or so, which has pushed them into 4A. What most people outside of the DSM area don't know is that 99% of the people that have made up that population boom are what you would call "Cake Eaters". It makes sense that their kids are no good at football.

WTF is a cake eater? So what about the portions of Clive, WDM and Urbandale that attend Waukee?

Let them eat cake - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Those portions of Clive/WDM/Urb are prime examples of "Cake Eaters".

I'm just joking around. Kind of. Maybe not really. Don't know.

I guess, yes, they are cake eaters, but I suppose that doesn't necessarily preclude their kids from being good at football. I can't imagine it helps them any though.

Was at the game, and James impressed me. Imming rushing didn't impress me that much. Waukee missed a few tackles on him (seemed like a big kid) so most of his rushing yards came on 2 big runs.

James seemed to run good routes, and have a good burst. Had a really nice TD catch on a 4th and about 3 or 4 from the 40 or so. They caught Waukee on kind of a out and up route that was a nice route, throw and catch. James was obviously the best athlete on the field, and the fastest! He didn't drop a pass thrown to him, even though you knew the ball was going to him, Waukee couldn't stop him.

I would not be surprised at all to see some bigger schools offering him. If Iowa misses with some of their bigger fish, I would be happy if he got a late offer, and signed with them. It think that he would do well at Iowa after a couple of years getting stronger. He has some height at 6' 2" which Soup seems to like in his receivers.
