I apologize in advance if this has been posted already, but heard this on the radio today.....

Iowa is 0 for it's last 32 in final shot attempts that could have either tied or won the game.

Can that be right? I know it seems like it's been quite a few times we've been down by 1, 2 or 3 with the last possession to either tie or win the game and have come up short....but 0-32? Good Lord, that has to defy some sort of Law of Probability, if true, doesn't it?

Yeah I saw that on twitter not long after the game. Pretty astounding stat. I know every situation is different but you'd think the odds would have the Hawks getting one or even two.

WOW!

That's horrendous. Yeah, you'd think by now with the law of probability, that at least one would've fallen by now. Soon, soon.... hopefully vs. MSU the next time we play.

Luke Recker had 2 game winners in a row in March 2002 in the BTT, most fans remember those, but I can't remember any since then.

I think Brunner hit a bucket to tie Wisconsin with a couple seconds left in the BTT semi in 2005 but a then Badger hit a long bomb to win the game at the buzzer moments later so that wouldn't count as a last shot.

My memory isn't what it used to be though so I could be mistaken.

Didn't Jeff Horner hit a short jumper for a last-second win over the Hoosiers at Assembly Hall?

I was thinking the same thing while typing my post but wasn't sure. 2004 maybe?

Edit: Checking old results, Iowa did win at Assembly Hall, 84-82 on Feb 7, 2004. So you may be right on.
