That is truly amazing. From a legal perspective, I wonder how strongly a court would interpret the duty to mitigate clauses. I doubt that they have to try to maximize year 1 or year 2 earnings after termination otherwise they would in essence be forced to take coordinator jobs at terrible programs (which could be career suicide) or take over a bad MAC or Sun Belt program (which could also be career suicide). These guys get to put Bama on the resume, maybe work up to a coordinator role and then when fans forget about their terrible stint they can get another head coaching job. Guys like Kiffin and Mike Locksley have gone from coordinator at Bama back to head jobs they are totally unqualified for.
