Crazy how things change so much in a year. He was disappointed UW didn't treat him as a candidate after DeBoer left. The staff was also generally pretty pissed at DeBoer for taking the Alabama job. They knew after his historic two year run in Seattle and the culture here that they could likely put down real roots while also being a player nationally. Neither here nor there (actually, maybe it is) but Grubb is married to a black woman and I don't think they had much interest in making a move to Alabama. Although it wouldn't surprise me if that's his best option now.
