Rushing game

Just a few thoughts about the Michigan game and Iowa's rushing offense. The stat of only one yard rushing looks really bad and it is, but it is based on two, well really three things. First obviously the sacks accounted for negative rusting yards and two that created long yardage situations (along with the penalties) causing Iowa to become more pass heavy than run.
The third thing is that the zone blocking scheme is no longer successful for Iowa. Everyone who plays Iowa on a consistent basis (Big Ten teams and Iowa State) know how to defend it. Iowa really needs to change it up and put in some more pinning and pulling (look at Wisconsin) and some counter action to freeze up linebacker and safety reaction to the run.
There are certainly other things that led to the loss, turnovers for example and blitz pick up, but going forward Iowa has to fix the run game.
