Very tired, just like the ownership. Time to break the Glass and build a new foundation! No more " Save money, live better." This isn't Walmart David!! I believe it is time for a Memorial day sale!!

They have built an incredible farm system and just need a couple more years. Hang in there, they have already begun to sign their young talent like never before.

I am glad that Dayton Moore is building a Nice farm system and going out and making awful trades and just pathetic free agent signings in the offseason to not even try and improve the big league club. This is one awful pitching staff, and if the the pitching staff was decent, they would be winning this division right now. I am sick of people caring so heavily on the freaken farm system, I want the Kansas City Royals to win NOW. Its been 27 years. When Bruce Chen is your "ace" you know it is going to be not be a fun season. Now saying that, Chen has pitched well for the Royals, but he should not be the ace of the staff.

I agree but the system he is building in proven to work. They have some young studs in the minors that can pitch but they will not just call them up and see what they can do. They build their arms and durability in the minors. I respect them for not deviating from their plan no matter what.

I've suffered right along with you for the last 27 but the organization has some life and direction for the first time in a couple decades. It's not time to mortgage the future. Keep the faith. They are still in it with a sub par starting rotation and with most of their offense struggling right now.

I expect they will be mathematically eliminated by the All-Star break. The other teams in the division will improve more rapidly than the Royals.

I as a Royals fan was really excited for this season. I understand the injuries have been terrible and have pretty much ruined this young team and season. I realize we are young and have a promising farm system, but it is time to spend some $ and bring in some talent to help this team win. We as fans deserve that!

I totally agree that us Royal fans deserve a winner but I wouldn't sacrifice what they are building for a one year wild card exit in the playoffs.

At this point I don't think any Royals fan would be upset with going to the playoffs, even if just for 1 year. If the ownership were ever going to attempt to win, this was the year! I'm sorry but with the all-star game in KC this year they should have tried harder. you can't run a MLB team like Wal-Mart amd expect repeated business. KC deserves more and so do we as paying customers!

No way. You don't mortgage your future for one year when you are a small market team like KC. You have to build through your farm system, and the Royals have their best farm system situation since the 1970's when theirs was the envy of MLB along with the Dodgers famed farm system.

Pitching has to be addressed, but they have a great nucleus of young position players and are the youngest or second youngest team in the AL for sure if not all of MLB.

Losing the Mexecutioner really, really hurt...he and Broxton would have been a nice back end. Losing the star young catcher late in the spring hurt.

They have some offensive capability this year, but that will have to be the highlight..they have to be careful with Hosmer and how they handle him. Moose is doing well. Gordon with a slow start and Butler is having a good season.

It's gonna be another couple of years before they are legit.

Injuries don't help. This is a talented squad. They have had a decent May. Much better than April. The starting pitching is at least of late lasting through the 5th to 6th inning giving the bullpen some rest. The pin has not been bad as of late. It is early in the season. If the Royals stay in this thing come break they may look at at least finishing 3rd or better. Being a fan since 1980 I am excited about the future of this team and the players they have and will have. You can tell they are having fun right now. Hosmer, Gordon will get it going. They are to talented to not.

Very hard not to agree with this. The management has shown no effort to pay for the players they develop. When was last time the Royals signed a Drafted player to a long term contract? I honestly can't remember.

just in time to lose everybody to free agency

we have a really young team because young players are cheap. Sorry but that is the facts, KC will continue to be a bottom dweller as long as the Glass family owns the team! Just my thoughts.
