She says the University was supposed to act before guilt was even tied to Coker. Thankfully she is not a Senator. She needs to go back to doing what she does best. Drinking and driving.

I don't like Roxy but as I stated on another thread....

I am still trying to understand University of Iowa thinking on this...

- Coker played 5 games while the "investigation" was going on.
- There evidently was "enough" evidence to decide suspension was required for the Bowl game. Coker was never reinstated to the team.
- For some "reason" the alleged victim decided not to press charges.
- The "not-guilty" Coker decides to leave his highly successful career at Iowa to probably play at a Div II school.

Something smells funny. There is more that is going to happen behind the scenes.

U of I either was negligent in pursuing this case or suspended an innocent player. Damage has occured and $$$ will change hands.

Some people just need to see their name in paper.

THIS And here's why...

Years ago, my sister went through a very difficult episode. Conlin was very visible at the time and as such, offered to help her. My sister was of limited means and power compared to her "adversary". Conlin lead her to believe she had an advocate and friend, and that Conlin would champion her case.
(she had clearly been wronged)

But Conlin bailed shortly after realizing that the political payoff wasn't going to match the effort needed...leaving my sister high and dry. As such, my sister took it on the chin...big time. And that's putting it nicely.

In my book, Conlin is the worst of the worst...those that pretend to advocate for "the little guy" ...but only to the degree that it moves their political career. I'll leave party out of it, some things are self-evident.

Foxy Roxy to a T.

Actually, your sister's scenario is a lot like that of other potential plaintiffs dealing with high-profile slip and fall lawyers.
