Roll Call - Anyone here going?

I am headed to Madison and to Camp Randall for the first time. Hoping to sneak out out 17-10 Hawks win...but just as likely to lose by the same score. Anyone else going and should we tailgate or hit a bar up before the game?

We hope to be at our tailgate spot by 9:30, corner of Park and Regent.

Not sure if we will be able to make it to Dexter's Pub, that's over on the east side.

Any bars would probably be on Regent close to the Camp, and probably after the game.

Get tanked and mix it up with the college youngsters. Live it up!

I hear you. My mom's entire family is from Milwaukee. Passionate and illogical about their sports...and everything else.
I've brought this up before, having lived for eighteen years behind enemy lines. Iowa and Wisconsin people have a lot in common on the surface. They will do neighborly things for each other, have bake sales to raise money for the local school, work hard, and drink harder. When they give you their word you can usually count on it.

The difference is beneath the surface. Wisconsin people have just a touch of holier than thou self righteousness. They will preach and lecture on a certain wrongdoing, then turn around and do it themselves. They are do as I say, not as I do types of people.

There is much less of that in Iowa. My wife and I went to a flea market in What Cheer in October and the difference between those people and the people who ran the Vespermann Farms corn maze in Lancaster Wisconsin the day before was readily evident all over again.

I know from being married to one.:)

Did you put extra wide doors in your house or just take out the walls so she can get around? Or has she reached peak Badger where she has blown up so much that she just stays in one room all the time and has to get a sponge bath every 48 hours? If she gets too big, the EMTs might have to take the front off your house to get her out.

He married a Badgerette, not a Clownette

I've gone to Madison the last 3 times including 2015, but I can't go this year because my wife made plans.

Selfish jerk

I've never had an issue with any fans in Madison ever. Might help that I go with a badger fan but everyone's been fun and fine

Your wife said the leaves need raking, the patio furniture needs to go into the shed, the snowblower needs tuning up, the garage needs straightening out, and the X Mas lights need to be strung.

Your wife had plans alright.....for you!:)
