For those of you who have covered Ferentz more and have a better feel for his body language, what did you make of his comments regarding Adam's desire to return to the team?

Q. Adam Robinson called a highprofile press conference in the middle of the state talking about how he wants to return to the program.
COACH FERENTZ: I spoke with him when we got back from Arizona. I can't give you the exact date. I haven't spoken with him since that time. We're supporting him academically right now. My goal is for him to get his degree.

Q. Any opportunity to rejoin the program in the future?
COACH FERENTZ: I really haven't given that much thought. I've been kind of focused on the guys that were with us in Arizona.

I didn't hear a door shut there (assuming it was open at least a crack) but that's about it. He certainly didn't leave an impression that a route had been set for Adam's return. Anyone have a better picture of Adam's status or desires?

I have no idea what his status is. But I think it's best that Ferentz didn't give him any kind of guidelines. It's much easier to do what you have to when you know there's a guaranteed prize at the end of the tunnel.

A running back with two recent concussions in a short period of time is never a good thing. I hope he is listening to his doctors regarding his future in football.
