Yup. If he'd have gone to a good organization he'd of had a career comparable to Yanda.

Still played 8 yrs anyway. Had a handful of really good ones at guard. He just wasn't cut out for the speed of DEs at the NFL level. Put him inside and he could still maul guys. College wise dude had 2 of the better yrs a Olineman has ever had. I remember a couple plays where he pulled outside on running plays and damn near killed DBs. He was an athletic freak for his size

BTW...the 1st Hawkeye to get screwed in the NFL IMO was Chuck Long with the Lions. Awful organization at the time.

For QBs that's only magnified 10x too.... He certainly drew the short straw there. Never had a chance

They hired a one Mouse Davis, in Long's 3rd year I believe, and he instituted the gimmicky run n shoot offense. Long sat from then on. A pity.
