Rob Howe will join Steve and me this am at 7

Steve Deace: "Michigan can go 11-1, but if that lone loss is to MSU, RRod is gone".

Yeah, and Hoiberg looks just like Acie Earl when he walks thru an IC mall.

Did Deace really make that ridiculous comment?

Meatchicken was .500 last year. But, if they win 11 of the 12 regular season games they play - Which, in turn, will place them firmly in a BCS game - their coach will be fired?

Note to Steve Deace: stay off the pipe.

Deace is right... to an extent. I don't think he believes Michigan will go 11-1, but he understands the importance of winning the games that count for the maize and blue.

I got up early to catch the whole show live.

Jon was pretty quiet and let Mr. Howe speak as a guest.

Deace kept breaking in on Mr. Howe.

All in all, great 2 hours today.

I don't get the hatred for Deace. You can disagree with him, but he is one of the most objective "Non-Iowa" fans around. I think most people just dislike him because he can argue just about any topic better than any of us. He's fun to listen to.

I absolutely love his analysis on everything not involving Michigan. He just has a huge bias with them. But I'm fine with that because: a) He doesn't try to hide that bias, and b) what fan doesn't?

He was just trying to make a statement about the importance of the MSU/UM game. But, alas, the runaway train that is Deace could not stop himself. Normally I am ok with his over-the-top comments, but considering the rare visit by RH in studio, his rant was a bit lengthy and misguided.

I often wonder if Deace has short term memory loss. Today was about the 39th time he's stated that Hoiberg won't be allowed to fail.....that all available resources will rally around him to make sure he succeeds and if he doesn't, that it will be because Fred can't do the job. Deace, buddy, we get it already.

I'm not sure, though, what any of that had to do with the Hawkeye discussion that was going on with Rob Howe today. Leave it to Deace to interrupt a Hawkeye guest to rave about the Cyclones for eternity leaving no time for the guest (Rob, in this case) to give the Hawk fans in the audience a chance to hear about recruiting, personnel, etc, etc.

And I don't want to hear about equal time because whenever Jon is gone and we get the trainwreck that is Chris Williams, the only thing discussed for 2 hours is Cyclones.

Thanks Mrs Deace! Now run along and finish washing Steve's super hero undies.........

Didn't listen this morning. trying to figure out my moving back to CR situation, but I'm calling total depravity here. though it technically isn't. If Jon is going to advance his career this would be the next step and his kids aren't too old to make the move, it is ultimately the perfect time to do it. Rob came in as a guest but I think it was to see the chemistry between Rob and Deace in the future could be on par with Jon and Deace.
