I was wondering how the ticket office handles road game tickets. Me and my friends are trying to set up a roadtrip to Minnesota for the game. Is it first come first serve or do the season ticket holders have first crack at them?

Season ticket holders get first crack at them and those applications had to be submitted by last week or this week.
The Minnesota game has limited tickets and will be sold out, that is guarenteed. So there will be no availability for the public to purchase through the U of I.
Suggestions: Ebay, Craigslist, Stubhub, scalp. I would go with scalping up there.
You can also buy from the University of Minnesota. They went on sale to the general public yesterday but they make you buy a crap game too. Price was $105 after fees. I will end up giving the crap game to a non profit called tix for tots up there.
Before anyone says it I know if I waited I could have gotten a better deal but I just want to get it out of the way and not have to worry about it on gameday or there a rounds.
