Road schedule

Anyone else concerned about the fact that Iowa only has two road games before November 6th this fall? Could the heavy travel at the end of season wear on the team at the end of a long season?

#1) the road trips are to Chicago, Bloomington, Indiana and Minneapolis, they aren't long trips.

#2) the team is only gone for 1 night (Friday night), so back to back road trips shouldn't be a problem for a football team, this isn't Major League Baseball where teams are gone for 2 weeks at a time. These guys leave on a Friday afternoon and are home on Saturday night.

If I were concerned about having 3 of our 5 road games in the last 4 weeks (and I am, a little bit), it wouldn't be because of the travel. It's because we'll have had pretty much the entire season up to Nov. 6 at home. Last year, we passed a lot of road tests, and that really was beneficial to the team's confidence. Northwestern on the road flat out scares me. They have a tendency to knock off ranked teams in Evanston, and they have a tendency to be a throrn in our side. Together, those things make me VERY nervous about that game, especially when we have Ohio State coming to Kinnick the next week.

I am nervous about every Big Ten game...what nu?
I really think this is about the best schedule possible for Iowa this year.
All the toughies at Kinnick. Tough games sprinkled in with easier games before and after them, generally. A bye week well timed almost halfway thru the schedule.

Really, gang, I cannot think of how I would change this schedule to make it better.

After last season road schedule this is fitting for this year. Last years road schedule might go down as one of if not the most difficult I've ever seen.
