riley rieff=best iowa lineman ever?

Yes, he has a chance. Being so good as a freshman. It may come down to whether or not he stays here for 4 years, if he does, he could well be the best ever. With his health as a given for him to achieve this status.

He certainly has the start to compete for this honor. This year will be a true test. Can he dominate? Can he bury a DT and pick up a linebacker scraping to the play?

I think RR has the speed and power. It is now about perfecting technique and being a leader on the OL. WE will need all the leadership we can get with a new C this year. Should be fun to watch

I totally agree. He was definately our best OL last year. He hasn't super early but by the end of the year he sure was. I know some people will say Bulaga was better last year. I say BS.

i agree he was definitely our best olineman very solid. has there been a line man who has dominated this early in their career?

Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves here guys.

I agree, even though Riley played exceptionally well his fresh year, there is a chance he stops peaking early and just becomes average instead of great. I'm not saying he will and I am also hoping for the opposite, but lets just let him get passed his soph year before we crown him the best ever.

Sorry, I quit watching cartoons at age 8. :)

Don't mean to take away from the theme of the thread, but if you don't watch King of Hill, that's too bad for you. I hope you are one of the poeple who just don't understand comedy, cause otherwise it's very stupid not to at least give it a chance. King of the Hill was a very funny show.

It's a heck of a lot better than any current sitcoms and all that reality crap.

In his case, it's all about potential! He hasn't proven it yet.
So you are saying he was just average last year as a freshman? He proved alot last year, and if Bulaga would have been gone for the season we would have had a tremendous freshman not missing a beat.
