That is touching, I feel an online friendship that may just be ready to be taken to the next level!

He is good, and no doubt an attractive piece to add for any staff...but let's compare Iowa vs. Nebby:

Iowa: Complete security
Nebby: One bad season (meaning 7-5 or worse, basically what IA achieved the last 2 yrs) and you could be jobless

Iowa: The last DL coach is in the NFL
Nebby: No clue

IA: Head coach has Bill Belichick's personal cell number along w/ several GMs, so if you want a job at the next level...
Nebby: it's like a revolving door and depends more on recruiting than devpt, so the NFL doesnt have a clue

If indeed he is gone, I'll be extremely upset and disappointed.

If there's ONE coach on the Hawkeye Coaching Staff that I didn't want to lose, it was him. Our DL will take a deep hit.

Iowa's DL performance and development has steadily declined since the Aiken exit and RK hire. I won't be disappointed. Also, could it be the Aiken will be coming as the new DC, and RK doesn't want to stay and have Aiken calling the shots as DC and DL coach?

Iowa's DL performance and development has steadily declined since the Aiken exit and RK hire.

The 2008 & 2009 Iowa defensive fronts were three of the most productive, statistically, in school history. However, I think that has as much to do with Iowa's D philosophy. And there was player development.

Yet I don't know that I would say that was because of any one position coach.

One of the more glaring aspects is looking at the recruiting regions...Coach K's is Florida. If there has been a weak link since Aiken left, it would be Iowa's recruiting efforts in Florida.
