Rich Rod Officially Fired per ESPN

Well a nightmare OR a shady/genius job of overshadowing Ohio State. All ESPN is talking about is Michigan for the day of the Sugar Bowl AND the day after Ohio State won the Sugar Bowl. Either genius, or a Cluster-F***

John Clayton reporting that Harbaugh turned down a $5.2M offer from UM....wow....if that is indeed true, we know a couple of things.

1. Harbaugh's agent deserves to be fired. His pay and job security will be much worse in the NFL.

2. UM isn't settling for Brady Hoke. Expect a big time name if they are willing to throw around that kind of coin.

If they don't get Harbaugh (sounds like they won't) I don't think Michigan will be Michigan for a long time. Now they are back to square one and they'll have to rebuild with athletes designed for a way different system than what they have (I assume they won't be a spread type team again).

It's hard to believe he's going to get an offer for more money elsehwere.

Why does the agent deserve to be fired? Harbaugh made the decision to turn them down. The agent probably did some work to generate the inflated offer from UM.

This program is losing a lot of recognition. If they don't make a GREAT hire right now, they will be a bottom feeder in the big ten for the next 3 years.

You don't understand, Miles is a "Michigan Man" so therefore he has to yearn to return to Mother Maize whenever called upon to do so. Just because he has a better situation at LSU is not enough to permit him to reject the call back to Ann Arbor.

I think Harbaugh just prefers the NFL, he wants the Super Bowl ring he missed out on.
And perhaps he figures that he can always get another shot at the Michigan job if necessary. He's young and would always be welcomed back in Ann Arbor.
