Rich-Rod gonna rod

He was fired for other things besides that. Not sure if it's related, but the other things involved University staff whereas what you mention apparently did not.

Admittedly the case for his termination is a bit hinky. The claim was investigated and found not to justify firing for cause. The story then goes on to document the Wildcats up and down season and a trip to a bowl game, where they lost to Purdue.

Universities are good at covering up their own liability politically. It was likely abuse of power that might have included covering up the affair or something like that. The use of the word affair might not be appropriate either.

When organizations hire "outside" investigators, it's usually not impartial.

It was convenient to fire him right now because they’ve tanked.

Had they just made the playoffs or something like that, the UoA would be in a lot tougher spot.

It's coming out now. The woman is refusing to cooperate with the "investigation" on legal advice. Apparently he pressured 2 assistants and an administrative assistant to cover up the adultery. Apparently he's accused of more than just harassing the asst over the cover up. In my opinion, when an organization hires someone of importance and they have "issues" of this nature, generally the organization admin knows about it and ignores it (sometimes condones it), until they can't ignore it then they act quickly to distance themselves. Like there is no way NBC admin didn't know about ML.

Maybe he's innocent. There is a lawsuit in the works.
