Honest question here.. In watching the review it did appear the ball never touched the Wisconsin player but as the ball sat on the field one of their other guys dove at the ball making contact with it, we obviously recovered. Couldn't hear a whistle but can't think it was blown dead did anyone else notice this?

I thought the same thing, the second Bad-ger clearly touched it because he thought it touched the first guys heal. He tried to dive on it, touched it, then Iowa recovered.

A Wisky player did attempt to recover it by diving on it, however, an Iowa player dove on it at the same time and touched it first. Therefore, Wisky ball.

I thought the same thing when I seen the replay in the big screen at the game. When I went home and watched the game again, I still thought the same thing. I couldn't believe the announcers didn't same anything about that. The only comment they made was that it "obviously" didn't touch the first player. And it should be a "quick" review.

Yeah. I was wondering about this as well because it appeared that the Wisconsin and Iowa guys touched it about the same time but Iowa didnt have possession of it yet. So why is that not Iowa's ball?

It looked to me like the Wisconsin guy touch it first on the dive by a fraction of a second. Iowa ball.

That was my opinion. Everyone around us at the game thought it was for sure Wisky ball and I was waiting for a "shocking" announcement of Iowa ball. Oh well.

That was only the 4th worst outcome on a punt for the Hawks on the day.

Worst of all were the 2 punts the KMM allowed to hit the field at the 20 yard lines. both of them rolled inside the 5 and both of them resulted in a pick deep in our own end of the field.

The 3rd worst was the punt that Wisconsin actually muffed. Naturally we couldn't get on it and Wisky retained possession.
