Remember that Alford beat defending national champion UCONN in his first game on a "neutral" court in New York. His tenure didn't work out too well (although I don't think he was nearly as bad as some people do). My point is that as high as I was about the future of the program after that win, it didn't work out. So despite my every urge to sign myself out of Hawkeye basketball like a problem gambler does at a casino after that first game, I'm going to hold out some hope for the future.
I don't know how it gets done, but I would like to see what our players could do with something that even remotely resembles a home court advantage - that makes even average players pick their games up. Not sure how to get attendance to that point other than the obvious "winning".
