Reggie Bush

He came off as such an SC. homer on air, but he's actually not very good as an on air commentator. He's just not smooth when he speaks.

I've decided to let my hate for espn and fs1 be the fuel for my fire. These piss-poor excuses for unbiased sports channels think if your team isn't on either coast or in the SEC, you're irrelevant in their eyes. And if you won the game it's for some reason other than you outplayed the other team and deserved to win.
F these clowns
Bush came across as an amateur-at-best announcer. Highly doubt he'll be retained
Also thought B Quinn went a little heavy on the pink lipstick.
Just sayin'

My only guess is that these networks are trying to play cate to the larger fan base/audience. When USC is on FS1 and their studio is in LA with 2 former Trojans on their staff this was what was going to happen regardless of if they played Iowa or anybody else just about. Before the game Quin did pick Iowa but it felt like he did it just to be different from the others and he wasn't serious about it. After the game he wasn't exactly jumping up and down rubbing it in like most would when you nail a pick like that...

I think it is ok for there a commentator to be a fan, like stuart Scott was with UNC or scott van pelt with Maryland, but what Reggie Bush did was way over the line. The "we" thing was bad, and him using the platform to cry about being outcoached was wrong on several levels. He needs to be employed by the USC network if he wants to act like that, but that is all he will ever be.

That is correct. The networks want programs like OSU, Michigan, ND, USC, Texas, Florida, etc. to be good because it helps dramatically with ratings. The nightmare scenario is Clemson versus some program like Michigan State or Wisconsin or Oregon for the national title because the collective fan base is way too small. Just like the MLB doesn't want a KC versus Milwaukee or San Fran v. Oakland World Series. The dream scenario is to get the teams that will draw the most fans because the monetary value of the TV deals and the future TV deals is driven in large part by the huge fan bases, not the Iowas of the world.

There are guys on that USC team that will likely go on to be stars in the NFL, far bigger stars than the guys on Iowa. But there is a fair degree of parity and if one team is way better than the other team in the trenches, they are probably going to win 80+% of the time no matter what happens with the future NFL stars on the outside.

I agree with that but we got Gus J. and Joel Klatt for the game and there is not much better around.

This is just like the Hawks want it. Underestimate them so they can kick your ass. Then complain about how bad you played, so you can underestimate them again.

The little d-bag just insulted us again during the Red Box pre-game show. He was talking about how the BIG is a better conference that the PAC 12. Bush said something like "look at USC getting beat by Iowa who's like the 6th best team in the division" First off, it's a conference Reggie, that has two divisions. That guy is one of the WORST on air talents for any network.
