RED, WHITE and blue Pom poms?

I get and appreciate the sentiment as a vet, but do you think there might be a better way to celebrate Veterans Day, like a flyover or a free brat and drink for those with a military ID, than to be sporting our opponents colors?

Not to nitpick it just doesn't make sense to me.

Maybe I'm just perpetually drunk?

We're handing out Wisconsin colors? I should apply for a newly vacant sports marketing position, because that is just stupid. The American flag tiger-hawk helmet was much cooler anyway...

I think that's what the Facebook page said. Red white and blue for Veterans Day. Again, not knocking the sentiment, and A for effort, but the timing seems poor

I'm trying to find the article to find out what you guys are talking about.

If Iowa was playing anyone but Wisconsin, Nebraska, OSU, Indiana, I would agree.

But waiving enemy colors in a home stadium...nope. poor choice.

If you think the color of the things matter at all, in any sense, i'd love to hear that argument...

Anything to get the crowd excited regardless of the opponent or color of the towel or pom pom is a bonus.

There were pompoms under seats last week. Everyone around me just ignored them. Pompoms are warn out and a just create garbage.

A patch for various military services or a decal would be more meaningful IMO. However the U seems pretty tone deaf on these things. Those stupid uniforms for the Purdue game showed me they are dumb as can be.

It's the same argument you made literally 1 sentence later. They get the crowd excited. Waving Wisconsin colors? Don't see how that will excite anyone, outside of the few thousand Wisky fans that show up...

The patch/decal idea is so much better.

pom poms mean less clapping and more waving which ultimately means less noise. Boo.

What is the sound of one pom pom clapping?

If a troll attempt fails in a message board and no one is there to see it, does is make a sound?
