Recruiting Question

I don't claim to be an expert in how recruiting works, so I'm asking for some help. Indiana has 3 seniors and have signed 6 players for next year. Maybe they have room for a couple of extras. I honestly don't know.

Kentucky has 2 seniors, has signed 7 for next year and is in the running for an eighth, the top player in the nation. Did they really play 6 scholarship players down? I don't believe that Coach Cal is doing anything dirty or shady. He even said himself that his past has taught him
lessons that he won't repeat.

Just curious if there are any experts in recruiting out there that can help answer any of my questions. ;)

Cal didn't fill all his scholarships this year, plus he's already clearing room, he pushed Ryan Harrow out to Georgia State.

Indiana was counting on Zeller and Oladipo going pro so Crean only thought he would need to free up one more scholarship.

Coaches like Crean and Calipari are scum. They bend the rules to their advantage. Like kids deciding to transfer etc. Cal just plans on 5 or 6 kids going pro each year. Hopefully it comes back to bite them one of these days.

Yep, Calipari will not have any problem clearing room for new recruits. Ryan Harrow was not going to be needed since Kentucky has the Harrison brothers coming in.

It amazes me how Kentucky can run through 5 star point guards like nothing.

just like how the SEC does with oversigning, these programs can basically kick kids off the team to make room for the stars coming in. sucks, but the NCAA allows it, so it's only going to continue.

As I've said before, LOI's and scholarships should be binding to both the player and the school.

I really love the NCAA commercials that talk about supporting the student athlete. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy until I remeber it's a hoax and they're just a bunch of greedy turds (sp?) trying to get everything they can and really don't care about the "student" part of student athlete.
