Took my family to the gopher-osu game last night. Told some gopher fans that Ferentz was taking a lot of crap for the whisky game and they were amazed because they think he is a miracle worker. He is far from perfect but Hawkeye fans should count their blessings that he is running the football program!

Former Hawkeye QB and current NFL Network host, Paul Burmeister was on with "Murph and Andy" earlier this week and said basically the same thing...stating that his job has let him meet and get to know A LOT of the elite head coaches, college and pro and that Iowa should be thankful to have Kirk, because most of those guys wouldn't fit at Iowa, at all...due to personality and arrogance and the shady way they do things, I'm guessing...Paul didn't elaborate on it, just stated what he feels...

KF said he read some of the criticisms after the Wisky game and considered them fair. That is one of the reasons he is the "right" coach for Iowa. But seriously dude, you were surprised that Minny thought we had a good coach? Minny? That is a pretty low bar.
