Reading through the Woodbury threads

It seems like the vast majority on this board think Woodbury committing is a certainty. What is this based on to make you feel so confident?

Here are the facts:
1) Fran had an in home visit
2) Roy boy had an in home visit
3) Woodbury has an official visit scheduled for Saturday

I think/hope he will pick Iowa but based on what we know why do so many people have him in black and gold as a lock? Am I missing something here? Its not out of the question that he picks UNC and cancels his visit

Like I said I think he will be a hawk but I dont see any information out there that guarantees this

Correct me if I'm wrong
 
Celebrity journalist Flo Anthony who CLAIMS to have spoken with a source, who has knowledge, from someone close to Woodbury, said its trues!
 
Facts? Facts? Since when did facts ever mean anything? Your "fact" based post is purely hypothetical and everyone knows that 10 "it's going to happen" posts outweigh one post that is fact based.
 
Pessimistic Hawkeye fans always show up. Finally we have a kid that is turning down the blue bloods of college basketball to stick with his childhood team/dream. He's a Hawk, just enjoy it even though many said it wouldn't happen.

Who is being pessimistic? Its just a question. And you post in this thread with the exact type of post I am talking about. Since you are 100% sure he is coming what is that based on?

Again, if you would read my 1st post it states I think he will be a hawk but there isnt any concrete evidence out there to back up posts like you have been making
 
There have been numerous journalists who are very close to the program dropping hints about a Woodbury to Iowa moment. This has been in the past week or so. If you have been paying attention, you get the feeling that there was a leak somewhere along the way. Too many people picked up on it at the same time.

If you are looking for concrete facts, you're not going to get them. But, if you are, something tells me that you don't follow recruiting too closely. Pre-commitment information is not disseminated through official channels. It is through hints and trends by people in the know. There has been an overwhelming abundance of such static.

There wouldn't be any point in holding an announcement if he decided to cancel his visit. Again, it doesn't mean that he's NOT going to be a Hawk, but the fact that he hasn't cancelled his visit is not very strong evidence to support the idea that he WILL be a Hawk.

I hope you are correct. I have followed it real close and I have not seen a leak anywhere, and that's from people a lot closer than journalists. I'm cautiously optimistic but I don't think he has tipped his hand to any one but his family and one or two close friends.
 
Roy Williams is the Devil. You don't think a nice Iowa kid like Adam Woodbury would sell his soul to the Devil, do you?

Do you think Harrison Barnes would personally invite Gary Thompson to his announcement only to pick UNC? Probably not, but that's exactly what he did.
