Would anyone else find it a little disconcerting if Iowa were to follow Nebraska's pattern for hiring its last two head basketball coaches.

Barry Collier from Butler

Doc Sadler from UTEP

No. I don't find that connection relevant at all.

Each coach has his own personality, abilities, style of play, marketing charisma.

What I would find disconcerting would be if Barta makes another hire without really looking deep into all facets of the candidate, including how well they communicate with players and the fan base.

Don't know much about him, but I like his profile.

I also like Pastner and Keno.

All of those guys have the profile that I like.

The big difference is that I see Pastner and Barbee are guys that could bolt once they get success whereas Keno would be more likely to stick around I think.

I'd go for Barbee right now. Should he be successful and bolt in 4-5 years, then you would have had the time needed to evaluate Keno and decide whether he would be your best choice for a long term answer.
