Ravens O-line's Iowa connection
From article:
Kelechi Osemele, Iowa State. Marshal Yanda, Iowa. Now, maybe they’ll have a little bet going for Sept. 8’s game between the Cyclones and Hawkeyes, but since they’re both Ravens and both offensive linemen, the veteran Yanda has been helping school the rookie Osemele.
“It has been invaluable, the experience he brings to the table,†Osemele told the Des Moines Register. “It is remarkable because he was in the same position [six years ago]. He has been there and done that. He is a successful guy, and he knows how to play the right way.â€
Yanda, a Pro Bowl guard, said he’s liked what he’s seen of Osemele, who has spent time as the first-team right tackle.
“He definitely has the necessary tools to play in this league,†Yanda said. “I think he works hard. He gets it.â€
