Interesting. I think this is a great move by the Titans. As someone who lives in Nashville, I can honestly say that I'm glad he's here.

How does the waiver wire work? I thought that if you were placed on the waiver wire, you could be picked up by any team starting with the worst place team and moving up the list in your division. If a team in your division doesn't pick you then it goes to the opposite division (NFC to AFC in this case). Well, the Vikings are in the NFC and the Titans are in the AFC. That would mean that no NFC team made a claim (16 teams) and the Titans are 7th in the AFC so another 9 teams passed on him. Ouch.

Edit: Since the Vikings would be one of the 16 teams in the NFC, only 15 teams in the NFC actually passed on him thus making it 24 teams not 25.

Edit 2: I just checked on the waiver wire rules and it's not dependent on division like it is in baseball. It's your overall winning % compared to all NFL teams so the Titans were #22. There was a tie with strength of schedule being the tiebreaker.

Titans had 22nd claim or whatever. Not sure about the division swap thing
