R Rod will be gone today

ESPN is reporting AD is meeting Rod this afternoon and then a players meeting is scheduled at 7pm. they say HArbaugh has eliminated Michigan but I still think Harbaugh goes to Michigan. Timing is too coincidental.
 
Harbaugh would be best case scenario for UM, and if Harbaugh was making the decision of where to go based on Job security/potential salary, UM would be the best choice as well. However, I have a pretty strong feeling that JH's ego is what will ultimately make this decision, and that means he'll end up in the NFL.
 
Michigan went pretty hard after Ferentz a few years back. If Harbaugh turns them down, do they come hard after Ferentz again?

Ferentz is Iowa or NFL. They'll be wasting their time.

I think Harbaugh is NFL too.

Is today the day that RR's retention bonus decreased?
 
KF could have had the UM job back in 2008. He gave UM a "Thanks but no thanks"...I doubt he'd take it now, I can't see him leaving James behind to take it now if he didn't take it back then.
 
Before Edsell went to Maryland, I was about 100% convinced that that's who they would go after when they canned DickRod. He would have been a perfect fit there.
 
David Bradley will make a splash hire. No way he goes for Hoke. Bradley wasn't a Carr sympathizer, and hiring Hoke would be like going back to the Carr era.

Think BIG on this hire. He's going to throw A LOT of money at Harbaugh. If that doesn't work, I expect him to sit down with Pat Fitzgerald and ask him to write down a number. If Fitzgerald's NW ties are too deep (and I expect that they would be), he'll go to Gary Patterson and ask what it would take. If that doesn't work he'll throw a bunch of money at a big name guy like Jon Gruden or something.

This hire won't be something that makes you go "Ehh....whatever." It'll be go big or go home for Bradley, and if he does announce that RR is fired, he's already got his guy in the bag (because he'd bring RR back another year prior to hiring Hoke or a guy like Edsall).
 
I was thinking Denver for Harbaugh after seeing Elway on the sidelines with him last night, but after seeing a report that the Dolphins have talked with him I am sure it will be NFL. Which team is a guess. Whichever pays him more.
 
Harbaugh will go to Carolina and bring Luck with him if he goes to the NFL. Timing of everything with the win game last night and then today a meeting with Rod and then a players meeting is too much and I bet he goes back to UM.

Anyone that can take NW to three straight bowl games is one hell of a coach. Fitzgerald would be a NC caliber coach if he were anywhere but NW.

You'd have to make him a blockbuster offer to get him away from NW, but any school that can do it will reap the rewards.

Not really, he's kept Northwestern at about the same place they've been the past 10 years. He hasn't been spectacular.

You do know that NW beat exactly one team with a winning record this year,right? That was Iowa. Their other 6 wins were vs subpar teams...hey, I hope Fitz goes...that screws two rivals in our division.
