How many spots do we actually have to give? What positions do you think are critical needs still?

Who are the top prospects on the board?

DO you think we will have any last month surprises (hopefully in our favor)?

Jumper thank you for all the info on recruiting. I really appreciate your work on the updates

I've read on other boards that Iowa will likely go for about 19 or 20 total signees this year. They could go for more, but a couple of walk-ons like Mark Weisman have earned scholarships.

With all the rumors on staff turn over, Who is actually recruiting? So far It appears this year has been a bust.

How so is this year a bust? Not enough 4* recruits? Team ranking national isn't high enough?

Iowa has 15 3* players, more than any other year.

Don't get touchy dave. I did not mean to infer that the 2013 recruits were not good. Only wanted to inquire as to who was actually doing what. If you can shed some light in that direction it would be appreciated.

I wasn't being touchy, just an honest list of three direct questions in a panicking fashion.

Seems to me that Brian Ferentz is the key recruiter this year. Along with Eric Johnson, given he is the recruiting coordinator.

It is a good question considering that it is rumored that three guys are out as assistants with one that we know for sure. That is alot, a press release would be nice. Probably won't come until his first press conference for spring practice or after signing day.

So if 15 three star candidates might be a good class I wonder what that says about the 50 or so classes ranked higher than Iowa. I know what it tells me.

This class isn't a bust but it is very average at best and I don't believe it closes the gap in talent between ourselves and the majority of the BIG. I think a case could just as easily be made that the gap is widening.

The thing I like about this class is the number of 2* guys is smaller than any other class in the past 6-7 years. Just not any top notch talent. Not saying that some of these guys can't become amazing players but right now, there isn't a ton of star power.
