Let's say that Iowa wins the rest of its games to finish 10-2 overall and 7-1 in the Big Ten, but Wisconsin doesn't lose either. Wisconsin would go to the Rose Bowl, but where do you think Iowa would be headed?

Cap 1 probably. Starting to get too late in the season to make up the ranking deficit. Probably looking at 23-25 tomorrow in the BCS.
Really? While Ranked #23-#25 we beat two top ten teams, and NOT be in the top 15?? Remember that is all that you have to be to make a BCS Game. we will be right where we were last year, perhaps better. Our losses this year will be "better" than last years, and our Wins will be better too! we lost two of the last three games last year..... and still received a BCS invite. Do not think it will be tough, but at least our "signature" wins will have been closer in the voting publics memory, and our losses will "look better"
Iowa/MSU/Wiscy/tOSU could all possibly be in the same boat depending on who wins the conference Rose bowl berth. After that it leaves three teams fighting for the other open BCS spot. I pretty much think we just played out way out of BCS contention today.
that very well may be true, but if the OP's statement pans out then we will be NO WORSE than last year right after the Minny game.
Yeah but last year we were high enough in the rankings going into the losses that we weren't knocked that far down...we were on the inside looking out. But this year we're on the outside looking in, so it will be much harder, especially since there's competition from 2 other big name schools who are already ahead of us in Michigan State and Ohio State and BCS bowls certainly don't have to select based on head-to-head.
