question about star ranking

when it comes to Rivals and Scout.com

who does everyone believe when it comes to a players star ranking? or do the stars not really matter to anyone... just wondering...

Depends on if you're talking FB or basketball. FB is harder to rank because it would be impossible to accurately gauge due to the amount of players there are. BBall is pretty accurate and they generally are similar. imo stars matter more in bball than fb.

I think Rivals is a little more accurate, but I use Scout because I find the site easier to navigate.

I would say rivals is better, but I say it with this "clause". They only look at the top X players and rank them well. when you get down to the "unknown" guys or small town Iowa guys (Morris would be an example) they don't really scout those guys much and go by video and stats, and gauge by school size. i would say they get the east and west coast pretty well, and the SE and Texas/OK, but the midwest is kind of a crap shoot unless you're a very good player.

thanks guys.. TM3308 i was referring to football but i do agree that the Bball stars seem to be more accurate... i look at both rivals and scout and like scout more but i have noticed its like kiper vs mcshay when it comes to guys.. one site likes one guy more than the other etc...

anyway.. hopefully there is some good news to come out of the recruiting visits this weekend.. come on Coker... use your Magic man.. you could be the new super hero in IA City
