Question About Coming Home

Got lucky and scored some tickets for tomorrow night. I'm taking my son who is 10 for the first time that he will actually appreciate and remember the game (last time he was only 4 and didn't hold out that long).

Question is: How soon do I need to be in the stadium to see any warm-up activities. Even though it may cut my tailgaiting short, he wants to see it all and I can't really blame him.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

If he wants to see them stretch and come out in units I would say 90 minutes before game time , 5:30 PM in this case which is right when the stadium opens. Kickers are out testing the wind etc

Im not sure where your tix are, but it doesnt really matter if you get in early enough. Take him down on field level behind the south endzone and stand behind the ropes. The Hawks will be right in front of him warming up. Id assume he would think that would be pretty cool

Great idea.

Thanks everyone for the advice. That last one is a great tip, I told him the plan and his eyes lit up. Go Hawks!!!

He'll have a great time. Hope you brought enough money for a stop at the merchandice tents! He'll want a football, a leather helmet, another hawk shirt.....

I went to my first game at about that age. One of the best moments of my life honestly.

If he's anything liek me when I went to games as a 10 year old, he'll get bored about 10 minutes into the 2nd quarter and start complaining about teh cold. Halftime will buy you some time when he is entertained by teh Golden Girl, and will spend the rest of halftime asking questions about her. You'll lose him about 5 minutes into the third, when he'll ask you for money to buy nachos. Then he'll ask for money to buy a foam finger. He'll ask you to take him to the bathroom at a crucial 3rd and short on the 30, and complain until you take him and miss the play. He'll then get tired, and ask you to hold him up during every play you stand up, and when your arms get tired, he'll pout is his seat. For the thrilling final 5 minutes of action, you give him your phone to distract him because you're sick of his complaining.

After the game, he is excited and can't wait to go next week.
