That officiaiting crew was GODAWFUL...ranks up there with the Florida Bowl Game fiasco. There was like 6 replays. A bad Minnesota team doubles you up in yards, 11 more minutes of time, wins the TO battle 3-0, more first downs, etc. Run the same inept offensive plays over and over. Trot out the same awful qb over and over.
Iowa should be 7-1 and the 6-2 should come with an asterisks (Cooper TD should have counted).....but that is not how it works. Everything is still technically in front of them (other than an outside shot at the playoffs....which they would have done dogshit there). The Minny loss does not change that. The goal for this team also has been just make it to the BTT game and see if you can get lucky against Michigan/OSU.
But, with this offense, that could be in nailbitters with Missouri Valley competition.
It just a matter of how pigheaded or stubborn they want to continue be....or use the bye-week to make some significant scheme changes.
Otherwise, I think they, for the 2nd year in a row, are going to be on the outside looking in. Maybe that is the ceiling for this team...which sucks.
