Despite how bad I felt after last weekend's loss, a photo I saw earlier this week put everything in perspective for me.
A Dubuque woman who is in early 20s has been battling cancer for the last few years. Despite apparently being in remission, she had a set back recently as the cancer has spread to her brain. Things do not look good as she's a patient at the UofI Hospitals and Clinics. On Tuesday, there was a photo of Stanzi, Morse and a defensive player - for the life of me, I can't remember who he is but I know he plays - with the family. They visited the young woman and her family either on Monday or Tuesday.
I couldn't help but think to myself what a classy act. While most of us in Hawkeye Nation spent the week mopping, these young guys who had the most at stake against Arizona, took time out to brighten this family's day.
Sorry about the delay in sharing this message, but I thought it was a story still worth sharing.
