Purdue +15 vs Iowa.
Michigan +8 vs PSU (penn state favored).

I thought the PSU spread would be closer. Clifford looks like a turnover waiting to happen to me. That spread is almost exactly equal to Sagarin 7.97.
 
What???? Purdue just had their 3rd string QB throw for 420 yards. We have a really good defense but how can our offense score enough to overcome -15.

I say bet on Purdue.
 
We've scored 15 points in the past two games combined. We're not covering that spread. Lol. Have the oddsmakers not watched our trainwreck of an offense??
 
You have to be crazy to put money on "Iowa will beat a Power Five School by two touchdowns" because that means they'd have to score at least two touchdowns against a P5 school.

True, but purdue is closer to middle Tennessee than a big ten team. Iowa is likely to be an underdog at NW though.
 
Purdue doesn't have a defense. Iowa does. Purdue will score but not enough. Iowa's offense needs this game to get back on track.
 
I was surprised by that trivia question in the telecast that Purdue has the most wins of any team in Kinnick Stadium. Purdue in the 60 and 70s owned a 20 game winning streak against Iowa.

I was surprised at that also but from about the mid 50s through the 70s they were often the 3rd best team in the Big Ten along with Michigan State. They had quite the string of quarterbacks in those days; Len Dawson, Bob Griese, Mike Phipps, Gary Danielson, Mark Hermann, etc..

20 years tho, the biggest losing streak to Ohio State was 16. I guess I never realized how good Purdue was back in the day.

brohm will find a mismatch somewhere and exploit it for 14-17 points. I don’t know where, but he will....

purdue may suck, but he’s an outstanding offensive mind.

Could always kick 5+ field goals. Touchdowns are overrated.
 
PSU and Michigan don’t have bye weeks.

So Purdue can’t import one of those defenses; they will have to play with their defense.

In typical Iowa fashion, i could see the Iowa defense having a bad game this week and Iowa winning 33-28
 
If Iowa doesn't make any changes and continues to do the same thing they have done the last 2 weeks, Purdue by 10.

If someone finally wakes up and makes the necessary changes to the play calling to compensate for the terrible Oline play, Iowa wins by 14+

Watching PSU make the necessary changes to negate the pressure Iowa's DLine was getting the first quarter made me jealous. Moved to quick hitting passes, screens, RPO's, and Read options.
