PSU recruits

Were we close on any of their recruits? One would have to be insane to go there at this point, especially given the liklihood of severe NCAA sanctions to come. Everyone has an opinion, but I believe that program will be shut down for a minimum of 2 years either by PSU itself or the NCAA.

There were a couple that were down to Iowa and PSU that chose PSU last year. I'm guessing they'd be able to transfer without having to sit.

I'm guessing he is referring to the one's that have verbally committed this season as well.

To be honest, I didn't think there was any way that PSU would get this kind of recruiting class after everything that came out. So it wouldn't surprise me a bit if they keep every one of their verbals. It's a free country, but man if I was the father of a recruit, I wouldn't let him near 100 miles of the stink in not-so-happy valley.

Oh i know, I just didn't have knowledge of any of them.

I am not so sure I want a student athlete that committed to Penn State after all of this came out.

As far as I can tell, there were only a few of their commits that had Iowa offers. So I doubt we see any of them head our way. And to be honest, that's fine with me.

There will be little to no NCAA punishment. Even if, they can appeal it and drag it out in the courts for years. Miami commited huge crimes and so far there is no punishment...that was over a year ago.

I think Greg Webb was the only one we had a chance at early on..

We didn't target a lot of those kids..

You realize we are talking about going to strip clubs vs. the cover up of multiple instances child rape and the enabling of a pedophile correct? The guys in Happy Valley took LOIC to another stratosphere as compared to Miami players getting free lapdances.

PSU is going down and they will not fight it. Protesting the punishment is the only thing that could make things worse.

Zayd Issah, Harrisburg, PA, was reportedly "eyeing a visit" to IC several months ago before committing to PSU. Is projected as an OLB at PSU. He was offered by Iowa along with many others.

Hope we can get back in on him and a couple of those OT's.

He is the only player Iowa had offers to among the 13 PSU commits. I just scanned both the Rivals and Scout databases.

Malik was actually going to commit to us after an unofficial but decided to wait a few days and then PSU offered. I think we would have a great shot at him.

Reese to PSU starting D-Line: I'm not going to lie to and promise you playing time, because I don't have to, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, you know what I mean?"
