PSU LB: Iowa is a wrestling school and PSU is a football school

Thanks for the wake-up call...lest our guys get a little comfy thinking they can just waltz into Happy Valley.
When will these guys learn to keep their mouth shut?

Funny. I would have thought the "WE OWN....PENN STATE" chant would have stuck out to him more.
 
He claims he was joking, but this just seems like speaking in complete ignorance.

Btw, when's the last time PSU won a national championship each in football and wrestling? Hmm.

Penn State just won the NC in Wrestling this past year and the have won a NC in football more than Iowa has.
 
And this guy is only a sophomore. I have a feeling he's going to get a wake up call this weekend. I'd love to see Coker roll this guy
 
I think our East Coast guys will get up for this game. I also think that the Defense will break out this game. Thier O is not good, and Prater and Bernstine are gonna go wild. Also this guys is fooling himself as Iowa and PSU are about the same level right now with advantage to Iowa.

Think about Coker and Canzeri getting carries against the big NE school that didnt think they were worth it........

Yes, I obviously knew the former. As for the latter, the last NC was before this kid was born. Hell, the only thing their entire roster knows now is life in the Big Ten (and no national championships).

Nobody in that program right now, joking or not, should have the gall to claim they don't know Iowa is a football program. Whether it's because Iowa has had nearly as much success in football as PSU since PSU has joined the Big Ten, or because Iowa has regularly 'humbled' PSU over the last decade.

yeah I think we can all agree that the dude is an idiot and doesn't understand how much Iowa has owned PSU as of late anyway.
 
Sounds like it is maybe a combination of his inexperience with the media, along with a little bit of tongue in cheek, and being kind of a dummy head. I dont see it as a big deal.

I was at the first game they ever played against Iowa in the conference at Kinnick. We got kicked bad, but we've certainly knocked them down a few notches several times since then.
