This might seem trivial to some of you, but I feel Ryan Donahue and the rest of the punting team were a great asset this season. I was reminded this especially after watching Penn State and then Texas continually punt the football into the endzone for touchbacks during their bowl games--guess I got spoiled by watching our opponents fair catch punts at the 11 yard line. Hard to find punting stats sometimes other than yardage average but this season Ryan only had 5 punts for touchbacks plus only 23 punts returned for a total of 131 yards. Hope the NFL pays attention to these little things--takes a team player to intentionally take 10-15 yards off a punt (hurting his yards/kick average) to help win the field position battle.
