Problems with UI Ticket office system - delay in 2 PM ticket ordering

I went up to the ticket office and got a number for the line at about 1:45. At 2 PM Pam Finke told us all that their system wasnt working right and not updating sold seats in the system.

She said to come back or wait until 4 PM.

I know their system gets hosed up sometimes as it did last Monday.

You would think with all the big $$$ the program makes they could have better servers and maybe get better ordering software.

All you donors need to give more $$$$, I know my donation must help out here.

Anyone else having issues?

I put in an renewal application at 11:45 and haven't heard anything yet. So I wouldn't be surprised if you don't hear anything for another few hours.

I just called the ticket office because I cant log in and the recorded message said the ticket office was closed which it isnt as I was just up there.

I know they will get the tickets sold but when you have people with money in their hands ready to buy you need to service their needs.

By the way, was it announced prior to NIT game one that if you bought tickets for game 1 you would have first come status for game 2????

I was wondering about that myself. There is no way any of us could have known they would get another home played tomorrow.

Tried on the phone and it wouldn't connect. I also tried to log in with my account and it said my login didn't work. I suspect the system is at fault and not my inability to type name/password.

Yeah I am logged into my account and have been since about 10 to 4. I keep refreshing the ticket list and nothing is coming up. Only the baskeball banquet.

I am in Iowa City at today and tomorrow for family fun at my daughters and didnt expect a chance to go to a game on Friday.

I cant get logged onto my ticket website account and I drove to the ticket office to be met with that delay.

I hope tickets are still available tomorrow as I might have to go back to the ticket office.

I have emailed the ticket office to tell them they should at least be taking phone calls.

This screw up will reduce attendance for the game, imo. Whoever is running the ticket office needs to be fired. Why isn't the office kept open longer given the short time fans can get tickets.

They must have had a bunch of people reorder, my tickets are row 35 in section KK. I requested different seats a number of times and it kept getting worse.

I did the same thing. I finally ended up row 27 of JJ with aisle seats. I hopped on those and quit messing around.

I think the ticket office is staying open until 7 pm tonite I heard.

It will still be a near sellout if not a sellout. I agree the ticket office botched this. But that's because they thought the server would be able to process all the orders from those who went last night and are purchasing for tomorrow's game in only 2 hours time. I assume 10-12K also are buying tickets to the game tomorrow. They were just hoping their server could do more than what it's capable of.
