Prime Time League - 2015

Should be fun to watch the various personnel of 2 NC2A tourney teams, this summer.

UNI and IOWA players should make for some interesting games.

When does the ball start bouncing in North Liberty ?

Looks like tryouts are this Saturday. So the rosters should be set soon after that? I'm betting a lot of money the #1 overall pick will be Uthoff. Wasnt it Gabe last year?

Drew Cook played in the PTL the last couple years. Prolly not this year though....

Wondering if C McCaffery, or David DiLeo (headed to Prep school) will play in PTL?

THANKS Rob

The tryouts for the fillers was yesterday. The draft may have been today, but not certain on that.

I believe all of the Iowa players, except Moss, should be in town on Monday.League play starts Thursday!

Maybe I am wrong about this but didn't our JC transfer all American point guard also miss the PTL? Let's hope there is absolutely no similarity between that former Iowa player and how Moss performs when he finally arrives and puts on an Iowa uniform. I am seriously hoping he is as good as some say and that the other freshmen can pleasantly surprise us. Would love to see Jok blow up this season too.

Thanks, I must be thinking of someone else as I remember one of the guys couldn't make it to the PTL. Dickerson was a big disappointment considering he was rated one of the top guards coming out of Junior College. I never criticized him on here as I feel most players try their best. If anything I thought he tried to hard. Iowa really needs a guard that demands respect from anywhere on the floor and yet can explode and take it to the rim if needs be.

From Jon and Wolfgang's Podcast, they feel that the kind of guard you're talking about- that can get to the rim and shoot it- we've got in Moss. Now if we can just get him academically eligible.

For the Waterloo PTL game I attended last year, he was late and didn't enter the game until half way through. After seeing him play that day I had lost a lot of hope in the hype that was behind him. Just looked too out of control against even average talent. You actually can get a decent read on some new players from some of these PTL moments as long as you don't over look the stats.

Ill probably so Sunday to check out some of the new guys verse instate talent. I have a lot hope that one of these guys are going to be an impact player this year.

Don't they have special schools for youngsters that struggle with academics? I think it's called the Special Ed Conference or SEC. :)

I certainly hope Moss is that good on the court as that would be fun to watch.

Jess Settle's team definitely has the best shooters. I do like tagging Ellingson and Flemming as the "Splash Brothers" That would be nice if that came to fruition.

[h=4]Marion Iron Company:[/h]Brady Ellingson, Andrew Fleming
Head coach Jess Settles—who could probably lace 'em up and drop a double-double on these fools, like, today—went the "Splash Brothers" route with these two shooters. Settles' first-round pick was UNI guard (and noted Hawkeye killer) Wes Washpun, and also on the team is Turkish pro team TED Kolejliler's very own Matt Gatens, who local sports fans may have heard of.
