Prime Rib anyone?

I've got a Prime Rib, if anyone has preparation, roasting tips, please post below.

Keep it simple...

Let it get to room temp, salt and pepper only.

Brown it at 500° for 15 minutes in a roasting pan with the fat side up.

Turn it down to 325° and leave it until the internal temp is 120° for medium rare

Let it rest for 10 minutes or so and dig in.

We have done it simple but my wife tried the Herbs de Provence a couple times and I thought it was great. Just my taste buds. Like I say I like simple like garlic powder and black pepper on grilled pork and steak but that prime rib was great.

Doing ours the same way, never fails and it's outstanding. Horseradish anyone? I like it with mine...enjoy everyone....Go Hawks

Ummmm Horseradish, never thought of that sounds great.

By the way, if you are ever out of steak sauce and your steak or pork is resting and ready to eat dont worry. Just keep ketchup and Worchestershire sauce on hand and mix it to your liking and add pepper at least , maybe a little garlic powder and any other spices you might like. There you go quick and easy steak sauce, good on about anything.

So, we all love prime rib, what about sides? My wife does a loaded mashed potato casserole with cheese, bacon, and green onion. Veggies? Anything Brussels sprouts, zucchini, or simple as balsamic green beans, damn boys, let's eat.....gotta have a salad also....poppy seed with balsamic on romaine lettuce....

Why go to all that work? Just head over to the Northwestern Steak House in Mason City and let them serve you the best prime rib or steak in the Midwest and beyond.

DW, we could do that, but I paid $95 for 9.5 lbs of beautiful, luscious prime rib...I only live 30 minutes from there, have eaten there a few times, so I think I will stay put
