Preview, Prediction: Iowa-Wisconsin Football

FWIW, there's some smoke that Braelon Allen is going to transfer to USC or Michigan after the season.
 
I hope the coaches are watching the 2009 Iowa - Wisconsin replay currently playing on B10 Classics.
Iowa struggled to run all day, but eventually won due to outstanding defense and a strong passing game against the WI defense selling out to stop the run.
 
The projected final score of 16-13 sounds about right, but it wouldnt surprise me a bit if it was either team. Last team to slog it close to the red zone wins.................
 
I give the nod to the home team. This teams are pretty similar and I feel like this is the year that reverses recent trends (we beat Purdue and NW, but lose to ISU and Illinois). I feel like we are due to beat Wisconsin.
 
Iowa will have to make fewer mistakes and less serious mistakes. I hope Iowa can establish some semblence of a running attack and some rudimentary passing. D will need to limit big plays and get some key negative plays in W territory

Wisconsin has won 8 of the last 10. The 2 victories for Iowa came on a fluke fumble at the goal line and the covid year. The Iowa offense has really struggled to move the football since Wisky switched to a 3-4 zone blitz scheme.

Unless Brain or whoever can figure out a way to run the football when the cutback lanes are all clogged up, and help Petras recognize where the pass rush is coming from...Iowa ain't winning this.

If you are an offensive skilled player in Lincoln Riley's offense, it just increases your value. If he is a 4th or 5th round pick at Wisconsin, he will be a 2nd or 3rd at SC. Why not get paid now and get paid later.
