Preview, Prediction: Iowa Planning to Knock Off Unbeaten Badgers

I'm also buying the breakout. I don't think we'll see a game that just had everything basically go right like last weekend, but we only need to apply some of that same execution to have a much better offense than most of the rest of the season. In other words, we don't need to be THAT good to beat Wisconsin. The confidence boost should help.

We're coming in with a chip on our shoulder, and I think we knock them off their cheesy perch....

Hawks 30
Connie 20

Make Hornibrook beat you. I'm predicting Butler has more rushing yardage than AW. Something like 12 carries for 70 yards. Nothing sexy, just grind it out yardage. Iowa gets one big play by the tight end to win 17-13.

I will be in Mobile, AL for the game. Though I may miss it. Im going to a rugby tourney. But the temps are in the 70s.

Gonna be the usual slobberknocker between Iowa and Wiscy. Wisconsin's D may be bruised and less athletic than OSU's, but recent history shows they'll be much more disciplined and prepared. Fortunately, our D is similarly talented and disciplined, AND healthy, and I think that's the difference in this one.

Hawks 21
Badgers 13

My guess is that this will be a dog fight decided by one score. Wisconsin may have overlooked Iowa before last week. This week they are looking for relevance. This is their first contest against a ranked team, albeit a newly ranked team. They have been hearing all year how their schedule is too easy. Unlike Ohio State, Wisconsin is very familiar with Iowa. Both teams have a lot of respect for each other but the home field advantage gives the home team confidence.

Wisconsin football is run to set up the pass. They are going to pound the ball at Iowa's front four and hope to suck Iowa's defensive secondary into the run game. Hopefully Bazata's leg and Jewels shoulder are near 100%. Iowa is going to need its interior guys in top form. Cephus being out at wide receiver takes away one potent weapon for getting behind Iowa's defense.

I'm predicting a big emotional letdown from last week. We saw what that did to OSU last week, and Camp Randall is a really tough place to play. History dictates that thus game will be tough and close.

Gonna say that the balls bounce the Badger's way and they win 21 - 13, sealing it with a pick six late in the 4th.
