No. 1 Texas, No. 2 Penn St each place 3 players on Associated Press preseason All-America first team

No. 1 Texas and No. 2 Penn State each had three players selected for the preseason AP All-America team.

First of all, I don't put much stock in pre-season rankings.
But I am surprised to see Indiana has 3 players on the second team defense.
I did not think defense was their strong suit, but it appears otherwise.

If Indiana strings together two good seasons in a row it will be the first time in my memory that has happened. They had a good year the COVID year and were hyped coming into the next season and laid a turd.

I like Coach Cig and think they will have a good year. But, they won't sneak up on anyone this season, and I also think there will be a regression to the mean. I see losses to Illinois, Iowa, Penn State, and Oregon, at least.
