prater?

Hyde hopefully will see some things that he can improve upon. That one series was the only bad patch, I think. That was their only drive, and half of their total yards. A few big plays. That was EIEIU's entire game.

Hopefully, we can be at absolute full strength the next two weeks. We'll need to be.

Hyde was torched. I don't feel the same way I feel about like I did Jovon Johnson as a youngster. Johnson struggled. Hyde wasn't even looking in the right direction that entire series. Either he improved, or the defensive ends got after that QB. I only saw a handful of series...and that was one of them. He didn't look good.

Don't agree at all. I think, considering it was his first start... Hyde looked decent. He looked poor on those two deep passes but he aslo had some nice tackles where he dropped the guy immediately and some passes where he stayed home well. I expect him to improve weekly and having Prater back will be huge. Cut the kid some slack.

Again,
I'm admitting to actually seeing very little of the game. But he got absolutely embarassed. Different than the early years for Johnson.

On the touchdown play, that quarterback had about 4 and a half hours to decide where he was going to throw the ball. He did not have that kind of time in the other series I saw. So...I'm not laying too much on him for that.

I say again....I did not see enough of the game to see anything else he might have done.

On the other hand, He-man looked quite good in his first real action as TE.

Anybody can get "absolutely embarrassed" on one play. Spievey got beat like that against Penn State. I'm not too concerned about Hyde because of one mistake, when other corners (like Spievey) have made a mistake or two like that even when they are All-American caliber.

This is little more than nit-picking. I know we are ranked in the top 10. But seriously, anyone who expected perfection from a KF-coached team on the 4th of September has not seen too many KF-coached teams play in September.
