Prater, Gettis "Probably" To Play

I didn't listen to it but apparently on KF's radio show last night he said Gettis and Prater will most likely be able to go on Saturday.

He also said Tarp and Koeppel could've played last Saturday but were held out.

Getting Prater back is big IMO...

This is great news if ture. We would have rolled with out them but its good to get them back into the mix before Zona...

I wonder if ISU had planned on picking on Hyde. I bet they did. Sucks for them...

I think Hyde will be just fine, got a little over zealous in his first game. Isn't he #2 anyway behind Prater, although I am sure it is always a moving target with him, Castillo, and Lowe.

As for the injuries, I think everyone that has the talent to see the field on Saturday should have the opportunity. Everyone knock on wood right now as this is the best things have been injury wise for as long as I can remember. I mean, I guy got into a fight with a pick-up truck and walked away, if that isn't a sign I don't know what is.

Hyde is a starter. If Prater plays, it won't be at Hyde's expense. ISU will get plenty of chances to pick on Hyde, but I'm not sure it will work all that well.

I still have some doubts both Prater and Gettis play, don't ask me why. Just reminds me of Moeaki situation in 2008 where he was 'close' or 'probable' every week, then sat out. Hammies and high ankle sprains are tough and tend to linger. I really, really hope I am wrong. We need every man we have for B10 season if we have any chance of reaching Pasadena.

Would be good to get them some action before the Arizona game. That is going to be a pass fest.

Yeah, but you also don't want it to compromise their ability to play the Arizona game either. It's not good to rush back too early from an injury. It's best to play it smart.

I don't believe Kirk Ferentz will rush anybody back unless they are good to go. So if Prater and/or Gettis plays, then I am assuming they are close to 100% healthy.
